Fun Stuff & Good Eats!

Hiking & Waterfalls:
Taughannock Falls on Cayuga:  Beautiful extremely high falls and easy hike/walk from parking.  Travel time is approx. 1 1/4 hour. You many wish to visit Buttonwood Grove Winery during your trip - its one of our favorites! Both the hike and winery are dog friendly!
Carpenters Falls:  Great trails on the west side of the lake, approximately 20 minute drive.  Two waterfalls and a trail that leads all the way to the lake.  Definitely slippery after rains or melting snow so be careful!
Hinchcliff Family Preserve:  The 206-acre Hinchcliff Family Preserve peers over the eastern shore of Skaneateles Lake offering impressive vistas, and diverse habitats
Charlie Major Nature Trail: Local, fairly short trail with a beautiful creek and small falls. Skaneateles Brewery & The Distillery are located along the trail! Dogs welcome!
Watkins Glenn: An absolute must if you have more than a day or are on your way east.  Amazing gorges and waterfalls.  The little town of Watkins Glen has some nice shops and restaurants or combine it with some wine tasting! The gorge trail closes off season so be sure to check their website for more info.

Restaurants in Skaneateles:
