The Bond 1835 had some welcome crashers....
Started with our good California buds, Lisa & Don... son Mackian arrived with his boyfriend Michael...then daughter, Madi, and her sorority girlies came out from Syracuse University... followed with the arrival of my brother, Ken, and sister-in-law (& one of my bestie, bests), Christine... and finally our fab B & B construction crew/friends joined in the lake fun. Mark & I somewhat managed to juggle all the fun, partying, lake afternoons and running the B & B...with a dose of exhaustion... but we wouldn't have traded a second! We are more than a little blessed to have these friends and family in our lives. Looking forward to the Christmas visit, counting every minute.... they can crash any time :)
We now have private lake access to the stunningly clear and beautiful Skaneateles Lake. A short 100 yard walk will put you on a deck right on this super gorgeous lake!!! There will be more details to follow but we couldn't wait to share the news. Come stay and play :)
We had the privilege and honor of having some of these awesomely cool guys stay at The BOND 1835 during the antique boat show weekend. They dedicate their time to showing our injured service men & women a whole lot of fun. Please check out their FB page and consider donating to their organization, Wake for Warriors!
We are having a blast. Plain and simple. The conversations and aquantances we are making each day are priceless. The construction was rewarding but this is just sooooo much fun! If you are thinking about visiting the Finger Lakes please put us on your list of places to stay and we'll have a glass of wine waiting :)
Going to a wedding, family reunion, HS reunion or just a party? We're your spot to sleep, replenish and refresh! Like these super cute wedding go-ers.... Thanks for making The Bond 1835 your place to stay.
It could not have gone better. Thank you to EVERYONE involved in this crazy idea... Madi, I could not have survived the last couple days without your help and stability (talking me off those ledges!), Tom - thanks for the safe electricity, Richie, Josh & Sean (there are no words - seriously!), Kevin & team for the great yard care - it looks fabulous, Scott for being there today in a pinch (and for the best dry wall mud ever!), Tim for helping whenever and wherever but most of all, thanks to Markie Mark. Even though I am posting this blog, its been "us" day in and day out. I'm happy you can talk as much as I can (maybe more) and you know how to make everyone feel perfectly at home. Here's to a perfect first day. Love all around. Night night.
So, you know when you're watching the Academy Awards and the winner forgets to thank, like, their wife or something? Ya well, I forgot to thank two AMAZING people. Lynn & Chuck Stevens helped us remove wallpaper, paint, clean and provide overall moral support - so thank you thank you to Mark's sister and brother in-law for everything. We love you!
