If your a happy couple looking to hold your wedding soon, we have three weekends still available THIS SUMMER:
May 31-June 2 June 21 - June 23 July 19 - July 21 Here are some details…we would love to give you a tour! You may view some wedding photos on our site: https://www.thebond1835.com/weddings.html First, as a courtesy to our other guests and to make your experience truly special, we ask that you take over the entire bed and breakfast for the night prior and day of your event. This works conveniently for your out of town wedding party members/guests and gives you The Bond Suite (Bridal Suite) for getting ready and your wedding night (yes we refresh the suite in-between!). We do not require that you personally pay for the entire inn rental. We take a card to guarantee the rooms and guests may pay on their own. The inn accommodates about 10-12 guests and our pricing includes a full, hot, yummy breakfast each morning. We will do our best to design a menu to accommodate your tastes! The full house rental, depending on time of year, for two nights will run about $4000 but again, guests may pay on their own. Keep in mind, most guests would need overnight hotel accommodations regardless of where you hold your special day! Our bridal suite is under construction (completion March 1) and will soon have a beautiful, attached getting ready room for your bridal party. As far as the venue rental, there is a flat fee for the facility which includes rustic wedding benches, ceremony altar, valet service, four six-foot farm tables and about 32 chairs (auburn party rentals has matching tables/chairs for the balance needed), cake table, table top for 32 (we can obtain rentals to match for the balance!), fire pit with Adirondack chairs and our amazing hospitality! The Bond 1835 has a full liquor license so we do provide a full bar (cash or hosted - your choice). Again, depending on the time of year this will run about $4200. We will be happy to recommend caterers (we have some amazing companies we work with). The Bond is great for hosting rehearsal dinners, getting ready brunch/lunches, mimosa bars and farewell brunches - just about anything…. If interested we can provide info and pricing! Let me know your thoughts - and again, we would love to give you a tour. Best…❤️ Corey Bauman Owner [email protected]

Skaneateles Award Program Honors the Achievement
SKANEATELES February 3, 2022 -- The Bond 1835 has been selected for the 2022 Best of Skaneateles Award in the Bed & Breakfast category by the Skaneateles Award Program. Each year, the Skaneateles Award Program identifies companies that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the Skaneateles area a great place to live, work and play. Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2022 Skaneateles Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Skaneateles Award Program and data provided by third parties. About Skaneateles Award Program The Skaneateles Award Program is an annual awards program honoring the achievements and accomplishments of local businesses throughout the Skaneateles area. First and foremost, we hope this finds you and your loved ones healthy. We wish to thank all our health care providers and first responders for their tireless professionalism and hard work. Though we hope you’re staying home and practicing safe distancing, we miss you… We miss providing you with a cozy and warm place to stay while you are visiting our stunning little town of Skaneateles… We miss doing our best to serve you an amazing breakfast… We miss telling our (somewhat bad) jokes and doing all we can to bring a smile to your face… But most of all, we miss meeting and chatting with all of you... Your stories, your journeys, your faces, your appreciation and your kindness. It’s each and every one of you who have made our job of getting up early and doing our best to serve you, one hundred percent joyful. We are counting the minutes until we are able to welcome you back to The Bond 1835. …In the meantime, here are a few things we feel you just need to know!
The future at The Bond 1835 is looking bright and is loaded with fun stuff—we can’t wait to share it with all of you! Stay well and be happy, Corey The Bond 1835 The online publication of House Beautiful just released its list of "60 charming American towns you haven't heard of but should visit ASAP". Which small town is the first on their list? Skaneateles, of course! MATT CHAPLAIN/GETTY IMAGES "This picturesque village is located right on the edge of Skaneateles Lake in Upstate New York. With beautiful and serene surroundings, you can spend the days of summer shopping, relaxing in a kayak or hiking the trails."
our two cents? there's no place better to stay in this wonderful small town than The Bond 1835! June is LGBTQ Pride Month...
What better time to shout out that The Bond 1835 is more than just a LGBTQ welcoming inn. We support, cherish and respect this community of awesome individuals. Hopefully one day, there will be no need for labels, no need to "come out", however we will always need to recognize, honor & celebrate those who paved the way for this generation with their hearts and lives, those who made it just a little easier for people, like my son, to live authentic, beautiful, loving lives. If you would like more information on the history and significance of PRIDE month, please click the button below. We have been lucky enough to have played host to over 650 fabulous individuals in the last almost six months since we opened. There are an endless number of personal stories, hilarious antidotes, crazy coincidences, wild wine nights and warm fireside friendships kindled (pun intended).`
Then today. Today we were affected. A beautiful, quiet mother chose our little Inn to host a day in her journey of grief. Ten years ago, she lost her beautiful daughter to a distracted driver. She spent her time with us reflecting, journaling, and traveling that long, long road of unimaginable grief. Mark & I don't need to personalize her loss in order to pray we will never, ever know how she feels. It sounds cliche and almost inadequate... but hug your kids, put down the phone and please please drive safe. I remember when I was a child I looked at the year 2000 and thought just how old I would be - didn't even consider how old I'd be in 2018 for gods sake! This year taught me just how much life there is to an older woman (and an older man). The young "me" would have been shocked. We surprised ourselves daily on just how much we accomplished each and every day during the renovation of our lovely Inn. We leapt (...maybe crept) out of our comfortable respective boxes and although we earned bruises and our spirits were bit battered at times, we were eventually rewarded with a fabulous sense of pride and accomplishment. We demo'd, sanded, painted, hammered, scraped and grouted... then we welcomed our first guests, made beds, poured wine & toasted special events, cooked breakfasts and hugged them goodbye. So 2018, although you have made us another year older we wouldn't change our little slice of you. We have been rewarded with a great gift - that of a business where most of what we do is make people happy and at times, are blessed to call them friends.
Here's to all the future friends 2019 will bring. Happy New Year. wishing you a season full of joy and a new year full of kindness.
love.... Corey & Mark, The Bond 1835 Today we raked thousands of maple leaves. Thousands? Maybe a million. How many leaves can you rake in 3-4 hours? Definitely a million. As we raked, ruined our gloves, contemplated the next day's painful muscles, and had whole bunch of self pity - we stopped for a moment. We were thankful that it was just simple leaves we were raking. Our thoughts went to our other home of state of California and the terrible losses residents there are enduring because of the horrific fires. They're not raking leaves but instead are spending their day picking through the remnants of their homes... their lives.
Our hearts are with you California, get well soon. Skaneateles is a Christmas Carol come to life (yep - literally). Think snow, hot chocolate, fireplaces burning, horse drawn carriages, shopping, silver bells, throw in Tiny Tim and Scrooge and its pretty perfect.
